Maria obtained her degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2015 at the University of Pretoria. In 2020, she completed her PhD in Speech-Language Pathology, focusing on mHealth developmental screening in vulnerable preschool children. She is currently working as a clinical lecturer at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
